We were running errands in Christiansburg today and the cold was beginning to get to us so we stopped for lunch at Applebee's.
Gretchen had their Reuben Sandwich and I had one of my favorites, Applebee's Quesadilla Burger, which is a hamburger with bacon between two tacos.
The flavor is delicious and the tacos are a lot less filling than the usual hamburger bun. It goes off the scale in terms of calories, but it was the perfect choice for a blizzardy sort of day with temperatures in the Twenties.
The curly things are a new item, I believe they are called Potato Swirls. They are chewy and crispy and made out of whole potatoes.
If you Google this menu item, you will find that it is not on your Heart Smart diet. However,it is a perfect diet item to ward off Global Cooling.
