Monticello-07

This late fall weather has been cold, dark and wet, so I found some springtime pictures to brighten things up a bit. These are from Thomas Jefferson’s gardens at Monticello.

He gathered plants and trees from all over the world to grace the home which he designed and built on top of a mountain south of Charlottesville, VA. His home is a national treasure and is well worth a visit. Great care has been taken to restore all buildings and gardens to their original splendor.

I have also created a new photo album to try and capture more of the peace and tranquility of Monticello.

I hope these images evoke memories of warmth and sunlight for you. We could surely use more of that in our area.
