Now that the echo of guns has died away in nearby forests, we are seeing deer by daylight again. During the last few weeks, they have been careful to visit only during the hours of darkness.<\/p>\n

These two were just part of the herd that came through on this cold morning. Although you can’t see it very well in the photo, the deer on the left had long hair like a burro and its tail looked like a fat brush. <\/p>\n

The sun was out, but the temperature was only 28 degrees.
