The article appeared in the <a href=\"A thoughtful comparison of a Ponzi scheme like Obamacare to Communism by Francis Menton.  http:\/\/manhattancontrarian.com\/blog\/2013\/10\/6\/should-we-all-be-hoping-that-obamacare-works\">Manhattan Contrarian<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Manhattan Contrarian\" src=\"http:\/\/possiblyhelpfuladvice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Manhattan-Contrarian-620x167.jpg\" width=\"620\" height=\"167\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Francis writes:<\/p>\n<p>I guess I already answered that question with the last post. \u00a0But a few days ago the Washington Post came out with an editorial taking their usual approach of declaring the views of all those who disagree with them to be outside the realm of legitimate debate. \u00a0The editorial is titled <a href=\"http:\/\/articles.washingtonpost.com\/2013-09-30\/opinions\/42532230_1_health-care-affordable-care-act-t-obtain-insurance\">&#8220;Everyone Should Hope Obamacare Works.&#8221; <\/a>\u00a0If you&#8217;re wondering <em>why<\/em> everyone should hope Obamacare works, you&#8217;ll be hard pressed to find an answer in this editorial. \u00a0Here&#8217;s the best reason they give that I can find:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>As with any big rollout, there will no doubt be problems, many of them mundane. Computer systems will not work perfectly. Some people might have to sign up over the phone or on paper. But everyone should hope that those sorts of problems \u2014 and the overheated rhetoric of critics \u2014 do not deter too many people from buying insurance.
