Those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account\u2014to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day\u2014because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.
                                              \u2013 President Barack Obama<\/p>\n

I agree that this is vital.
Why is it then that I feel we are in this position as taxpayers?<\/p>\n
