There are many tips for parents who want to do a better job as homeschoolers.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks, an a tip of the hat to Henry Cate who has recently written, <a href=\"http:\/\/whyhomeschool.blogspot.com\/2007\/07\/why-we-homeschool-part-2.html#links\">Why we Homeschool &#8211; Part 2<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Homeschooling gives our family a three-fold advantage:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; 1) Our children are not immersed in a consumerist society.<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; 2) We have time at home to teach our children &quot;do-it-yourself&quot; skills.<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; 3) We are free to choose a curriculum that emphasize sound money management principles and avoid the &quot;money can buy happiness&quot; philosophy prevalent in our society.
