{"id":573,"date":"2007-03-27T14:33:56","date_gmt":"2007-03-27T18:33:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/example.org\/the_65th_carniv"},"modified":"2007-03-27T14:33:56","modified_gmt":"2007-03-27T18:33:56","slug":"the_65th_carniv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/makingripples.com\/?p=573","title":{"rendered":"The 65th Carnival of Homeschooling is up on Alasandra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Henry Cate of <a href=\"http:\/\/whyhomeschool.blogspot.com\">Why Homeschool<\/a> reminds me that another <a href=\"http:\/\/alasandra2003.blogspot.com\/2007\/03\/carnival-of-homeschooling-65.html\">Carnival of Homeschooling<\/a> has been posted today and it has been dedicated to Charles Darwin, with a link to free lesson plans for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.galapagos.org\/schools.html\">Galapagos<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>We have a lot of home schooled students in Floyd County and I am always impressed with their maturity and creativity. <\/p>\n<p>In my opinion, one of the absolute killer benefits of homeschooling is that <em>children can easily get more education in a couple of hours of homeschooling than they can get from a full day of public school<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>No two and a half hour commute, no endless waiting between moments of real activity. <\/p>\n<p>Home schooled kids probably get 4 to 5 extra hours a day to be creative and to help out around the home or participate in the family business.
