It was almost 5 o&#8217;clock and the light was going fast, so I grabbed a few shots while I could. <\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, there was a nearby pullout so I didn&#8217;t have to risk life and limb dodging late afternoon traffic.<\/p>\n<p>It seemed to be some sort of weeping cherry, but I leave the identification to my usual panel of local experts. <\/p>\n<p>Gretchen has informed me that we need one of these in our back yard, so I do need to identify this beautiful tree.<\/p>\n<p>Any ideas?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This flowering tree was a burst of Spring energy on an otherwise dark grade on Highway 221 north of Willis, VA.
