Fred First is a friend of mine who who writes about nature and other matters of great importance and was responsible for my wife and I finding this community of Floyd, Virginia.
He and I voted for different presidential candidates and we have been politically estranged for some time, mostly because we trust different different news sources.
He sent me an article today and asked my opinion about it. Reading this article gave me an entirely new perspective of how Fred and I and many others can work together in harmony to create a future where we can all benefit.

It is time to discover our capacity for empathy. The article provides some helpful guidelines for those are tired of being upset and want to begin a new story that explains the way of the world and our place in it.
