Once we discovered Fred First and his blog, discovering Floyd Virginia was the next logical step. We drove down from Palmyra to visit Fred in Floyd and we fell in love with the town immediately. Floyd County is a photographer’s dream located along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
It has a high level of creative talent, 10 % of the population are artists, potters, musicians, and crafts people of all possible types.
For us, it was an irresistible location! To top it off the county has high speed Internet service with higher speeds than we had in San Jose California!
