If You Want To Change Your Personality – Change Your Spirit Guides

Many of you are aware of the fact that you have a bunch of spirit guides and possibly demons who are constantly with you. You attract them by the things you choose to do with your life.

If you have devoted your life to a creative existence, you will tend to pull in spiritual beings who are interested in such creations. On the other hand, if you are spending a lot of your time delving into sensual activities, you are attracting spirits who are enthusiastically helping you participate in these activities.

Since most of us participate in a wide range of activities, we attract spirits who are eager to participate in those activities. Those of us who devour the drivel put out by the mainstream media attract beings who thrive on violence and senseless brutality, and other forms of perversion. If you doubt this, try skipping your morning wallow in the daily news for a few days and see how much calmer you feel.

You may consider it your duty to be well-informed about what our political leaders are doing, but you are paying a price for that information. Most of the news out of Washington DC makes a decent person want to hurl, even when it is presented in a balanced fashion, which is rare. Your spiritual companions get very upset when you root through the daily garbage because they have unresolved conflicts and past deaths that get triggered with your daily reading. Once you stir up some past incidents, the effects can last for days.

It is not just the sex and violence that you should avoid. You should be careful of the sympathy stories about lost children and abused animals. These arouse emotions that are slow to disappear because we and our spirits have many sad incidents which have never been completely handled.

I am not suggesting that you completely ignore the terrible things that are happening every day, just that you should note enough to make sure you are not in the middle of it and put your attention on people and things that are making life better in some way.

You attract spiritual companions through the things you do and pay attention to. If you put your attention on helping others and improving your skills, your personal demons who thrive on lust and destruction will get bored and find entertainment elsewhere. If you live a virtuous life and still keep your secret vices, your demon buddies will be happy to stick with you and encourage you to do more evil things.

If you feel you have nothing to worry about, just think of those things that you do not want anyone else to know about. These are the activities that keep you well supplied with nasty spiritual companions. If you really want to live well and enjoy life to the fullest, concentrate on helping others and improving your abilities to do creative things. If you keep getting urges that stop you from improving your life, get some spiritual counseling and handle the beings who don’t want you to succeed.

If all of this is a mystery to you, try reading Talking To Spirits, available on Amazon.com. If you have been struggling with this and are not making progress, send me an email at srtcounseling@gmail.com and I will set up a free session to see if I can help you.

Adventures in Healthcare

Once you get out of the usual range of medicines and healthcare products that your supermarket pharmacy offers, you are in for an adventure that will enrage and confuse you for many weeks at a time. I am sure this has to do with the fact that these products are relatively new to the market and your insurance company is not up to speed on them. This particular adventure has to do with a new set of products for use by diabetics, but I have reason to believe that this kind of problem may exist for all kinds of newer medical supplies.

There are new devices for use by people with diabetes that make it much easier to track blood glucose. These fall into two general types, a continuous glucose monitor (CGM ) and a flash glucose monitor (FGM). You can easily get a prescription for either of these devices if you meet the requirements, but that’s where the adventure begins if you expect to use your medical insurance coverage.

I have been buying medical supplies from CVS for some years now, and my insurance has covered everything without problems as CVS is considered an in-network provider for drugs and whatever. So, I take my prescription for an FGM to CVS, and they tell me that my insurance will not cover it. This is curious, as my insurance says it covers this device, but I persevere and go back to the insurance company, United Healthcare, which has been providing good coverage to us for many years and ask for in-network providers for this new and amazing piece of medical technology.

The ever so helpful customer support person at United Healthcare suggests a local medical supply house that is an in-network provider for this product. I looked the company up on Yelp, and they have an extremely high approval rating, so I feel my problems are almost over. I send them the information they need, and I get a call a few days later that I need to call a person named Susan at another number. I call Susan and go through the same rigamarole I did twice before, and I send her the prescription. As I am ready to end the call I realize that I have been transferred to another company that only does mail order. In other words, the local in-network medical supplier is NOT an in-network supplier and passed me off to someone else entirely!

I check Yelp about this company, which I will not name publicly, and the reviews are uniformly terrible! I call the insurance company again, and I get the very helpful customer support person I talked to earlier and told him what had happened. He apologized profusely and gave me three more names of in-network providers of this equipment.

I failed to learn from my earlier experience and called the first name on his list. I talked to a knowledgeable person, and everything seemed fine until she said this equipment was not covered by my United Healthcare insurance! I had been referred to this company by United Healthcare! I was beginning to feel I was lost in an episode of MASH. Nothing was making sense!

I looked up the rest of the three in-network providers of medical equipment on Yelp, and they all had one-star reviews, and the comments were quite specific, so I was not going to contact any of them. I decided to give the Insurance company one more try and spoke to a cheerful and informative woman who promised to send me another and more complete list of in-network providers. This time I received a list of 15 suppliers for the FGM and the list was provided by the manufacturer of the FGM product. YAY! What could go wrong? I was becoming encouraged because I was finally closing in on the elusive FGM supplier and I could look forward to a future free of bloody fingers and cumbersome record keeping.

With high hopes, I took the list of 15 trusted suppliers and looked for their Yelp reviews. After several hundred one-star reviews complete with colorful language and curses, I finally found one company with no yelp reviews and they have been in business for many years. I will take this as a sign that they might be the supplier I am looking for and will approach them next week when they are open.

I pity the marketing VP for this FGM product at Abbott if his distribution chain gets so much bad press for their ineptitude and careless handling of customers. One of the typical comments from frustrated customers was that one particular supplier had exhibited creative disfunctionality to an extreme extent. Almost all of the negative comments mentioned that the customer service was operated by people who did not care about customers.

If there is a bright spot at the end of this unfortunate tale, I will post a comment for anyone who seeks a similar solution. I have got to believe that a product of this value can be delivered as promised with the help of some enlightened management.

Life-Saving Sticky Notes

This is my desktop, and these colored notes let me keep track of everything I need to do today and in the near future. I can update them instantly and add another note even if I am in the middle of a project if I suddenly realize I need to find a dentist or buy cat food.

After years of trying to track multiple projects with action item lists and scraps of paper, I discovered an app that runs on Windows and works for me. I am using Simple Sticky Notes, which is fast and uncomplicated, but there are many more sticky note applications that provide expanded features like text editing and images.

Simple Sticky Notes is brutally simple in that you can click on any existing sticky and create a new sticky note in any color and size you need without going back to some home page and fiddling around with a menu.

I find that I need about three sticky notes for what I am doing now and another four or five to keep track of what is coming next. This has increased my productivity to the point that I have been able to clean my office and my desktop for the first time in several years.

I think the difference is this keeps each of the important actions right in front of me and lets me prioritize them on the fly as situations change. If something becomes more important, I can change the color to reflect the urgency and increase the size until it dominates the screen. I can also make the sticky notes float on top of everything else or stay quietly in the background until I am done with the task I am on.

If something needs to be put off, I can downsize the sticky and change the color to a muted shade of blue. It stays on the desktop but can be put in the corner until I can take care of it.

There are sticky notes for other operating systems, and I now have a version that works on my LG Stylo cell phone.

If you are feeling swamped, it may be that you are trying to keep track of too many tasks with memory alone. Try using this kind of sticky note and see if it frees up your attention and makes you more productive.

Answering Reader’s Questions 6-1-21

My readers are beginning to join in with questions and comments that deserve to be shared on my other websites.

A reader asks:

“How do we make the distinction between our own mental voice and the voices of other spirits?”

I responded, “When you meditate, these are the voices that keep coming in while you’re trying to meditate. When you do a solo session and you ask a question of your spiritual companions, these are the thoughts that come back to you. If you are not able to meditate, these are the voices that are keeping you from meditating! If you would like some help in detecting these thoughts versus your own thoughts give me a call and we’ll set up a session.”
