When The Power Of Love Is Not Enough

I recently had the pleasure of talking to a man whose spiritual space is cleaner and brighter than mine! He is no cloistered religious figure but radiates peace and serenity and love while carrying out a lifestyle that might leave others cranky and exhausted. He is the founder and spiritual leader of an intentional community and he is the president and CEO of a company that helps clean up the environment.

I commented on his spiritual peace and he responded that he had led a group in a yoga session and meditation prior to our meeting and was feeling connected with divine energy. He leads his group with love. They figure out how they can learn to love each other. He leads them to figure out how they can heal themselves, heal each other, and so on. He said that’s really what they’re up to most of the time.

Since we were meeting to address some barriers he was encountering in his business, I wondered what could be stopping a person so filled with love for his fellow man and his community. His space was so peaceful and bright it seemed he should be unstoppable.

When I asked this CEO what might be slowing the progress of his company, I saw an immediate contraction of his spiritual space and a brief dimming of his life force. It came back as he mentioned that he had a bottleneck in his company due to his design engineer who was holding up deliveries.

He had been trying to help this engineer by working with him as he did with members of his intentional community, but the engineer was not committing errors and was working at maximum capacity. He was trying to make sure that every system the company produced would not fail in any way and he was doing everything he could possibly do to make sure that the system works properly. The engineer is an extremely conscientious individual and is creative in many different areas of life as well.

The CEO’s caring concern was putting more pressure on the engineer and was actually making the engineer be more careful rather than making him work faster.

As a spiritual counselor, I can perceive what is going on with a person and his spirit guides and I could see that the engineer’s spirit guides were making very, very sure that he made no mistakes that would cause the equipment to fail. They were still stuck in a past failure of many lifetimes ago and were doing everything possible to see that it was not repeated. Spirit guides who have failed in some aspect of life are very careful to make sure that the same mistakes will not occur again. Their attention is still fixed on their past mistakes and even though they are trying to provide support to a person in the present moment, they are doing it with attention fixed on events of many lifetimes ago. In other words, they are not operating with all of their attention in the present.

I got the CEO to put his attention on his engineer and his spirit guides and persuaded him to admire the care and intention that was being put on making the company’s product superior in every way. This CEO is aware of the role that spirit guides play in a person’s life and when I told him of the role that admiration plays in working with people, he was quite happy to direct his admiration at these spirit guides. Once he started admiring the intentions of the spirit guides, he was actually giving them life and bringing them from out of the past to becoming aware of the present. His continuing admiration will wake them up and keep them in the present instead of fixated on a past failure. If they operate in present time they will not be endlessly checking to see that no mistakes are being made.

Admiration is life-giving and brings a being into present time. When our attention is directed to the present moment, we use all of our capacities and work to the best of our abilities. When you are willing to admire others, you are operating in present time yourself and are not distracted by past failures of your own. When I got this CEO to admire his engineer and his spirit guides for what they were trying to accomplish, he and the engineer were all operating in present time and not stuck in the errors of the past.

The power of love is marvelous and life-affirming, but without knowledge of the spiritual world and its influence on our activities, its reach can be limited. This CEO has created a safe environment for himself and his community using the power of love. To extend his reach to those he deals with in the outside world, he needs to learn and use technology that enables him to communicate effectively with spirits and help them resolve their problems. Spiritual Rescue Technology provides that information and you can read about it here.

Bait And Switch Employment Tactics

You follow up an employment advertisement and you do a creditable interview and they tell you that you are hired! You leave your current job and move to your new company without a detailed written employment letter and you find out to your horror that the rules have changed. Your new employer has modified his original salary offer.

Would You Trust These Guys?

This is a “bait and switch” tactic of the lowest order. You have encountered a nasty example of organizational insanity and you need to respond appropriately or you will regret it for the rest of your employment.

Fortunately, there is a way to avoid this. During your job interview, you are in the strongest bargaining position you will ever be in and you must take advantage of it.

Here is the typical situation: You go through a thorough interview process for a position with a defined and satisfying starting salary. The salary is mentioned at least once right up front and is used to stress the importance of the position.

You complete the interview process successfully and are told you have the job. You may even get a brief congratulatory employment letter with very few details. This where you must ask for a complete description of your new position, its responsibilities and any probational period and salary, or the following scenario will happen, because you allowed it to occur.

After you have given notice and only when you arrive at your new job, you will be told that there will be a probationary period during which you will be paid less than what was promised and if you do well, after a period of three to six months, you will start to receive full pay.

This probationary period is a complete falsehood because at the end of three or six months they will have accumulated many different reasons why you do not deserve the full pay.

This bait and switch activity may be triggered by your eagerness to begin the new job and the hiring manager realizes that he or she might have negotiated better. It also occurs when you are dealing with people of low integrity. They always intended to have you start at a lower salary, but couldn’t confront saying so during the interview process. They may even say that their other employees are getting lower salaries and your offer will bring things out of line.

Whatever the reason, you will be facing a decision which will affect your life from here on out. If you accept the lower salary, they will not give you the promised raise at the end of the promised time. The reason is simple. Your performance will never live up to their expectations and you will piddle along at the lower salary for a long time, grumbling to yourself all the time.

The bright spot in all of this mess is that you will never have a better bargaining position than when you are interviewing for a job. If you can’t convince them to give you the salary they promised when they are eager to hire you, just imagine what it will be like after you have worked there for a while! They will have made up a dozen reasons why your performance is marginal, your attitude is poor (and it will be!) and you will feel lucky that they are not firing you.

If you are a risk-taker, and many of you are, tell your interviewer when they offer the salary that you expect their offer to be a legitimate offer with no hidden strings or probationary salary arrangements. If they quibble about this, they are planning to take advantage of you and you would best refuse their employment offer. They may try to make the point, when you catch them at it, that this is their company policy. If they do this, you need to make it plain that you view a bait and switch activity as a bad way to start a working relationship. They promised a salary and you will start at that salary and if they are unhappy with your performance, they can let you go. Stress the fact that trust has to work both ways. If they think that you are the person for the job, they need to pay you what they were promising.

I received a low-ball probational salary offer several times and I was usually wise enough to say thanks, but no thanks. Twice, for reasons I can’t fully explain, I accepted a last-minute switch in starting salary or benefits and I regretted it almost immediately. In both cases, the lack of management integrity made the job a living hell.

By the way, if you successfully negotiate the original starting salary, you may find that you are resented by the person who attempted the bait and switch. This is better than you resenting the result, but it can affect your career over time. If only one individual was involved in the bait and switch, others may feel that you should get the salary you interviewed for and you may succeed in the end. Just watch your back.

If you are risk-averse, just let the hiring organization know at several levels that you view that particular hiring tactic as unethical and withdraw. If there are ethical people in the organization who need your skills, you will probably get a firm job offer. If not, you will hear nothing or possibly a dismissive rejection letter.

Just think about it. If a company cannot be trusted to keep their word when they are hiring you, what will life be like when you are working there and have no other options?

This does not apply to the job situation where the hiring company states right up front that there is a probationary period at reduced salary and reduced benefits. In this case, you need to determine for yourself whether your experience level merits a probationary period. If you are experienced, you can usually prove your qualifications during the interview and you get to determine whether a probationary period applies or not. Make sure the probationary salary is the same or higher than your existing salary. If you are competent in your current job and are not under duress, there is no reason to take a salary lower than the one you have now.

Maintaining The Glow After A Spiritual Awakening

Some of you have experienced the incredible release that occurs from attaining enlightenment and letting go of the painful memories that have kept you from realizing your goals in life. It is a spiritual awakening of great magnitude. Those of you who have experienced this state have also noticed how temporary it was but never identified what made it so. After years of observation and experiencing a number of such releases, I have some suggestions for extending that expanded state of consciousness which has been identified as a spiritual transformation under many different names.

Some of us experienced this awakening after going Clear in Scientology, others experienced this new freedom after a life-changing event. Regardless of how it occurs, it is one of the most confusing and most profound transformations you can experience. The change in your personality and your ability to create desirable effects is immediate but, for reasons you will not easily discover, your transformation will be short-lived, lasting only a few days or a few years. A Spiritual Awakening is miraculous but unfortunately fragile.

If you persist in your course of self-enlightenment, you can repeat this transformation, as spiritual awakening is not a one-shot deal. Each step in your awakening opens the door to new awareness and new abilities, but you will eventually discover that each of these wonderful states is relatively short-lived unless you discover what causes this state to vanish.

What causes the vanishing of your life-changing state is not a fault of your new awareness or your purity of soul. It is a lack of knowledge of what you are dealing with. When you attain a spiritual awakening, you are no longer the effect of your past memories and you naturally feel invincible. If you, like most people who attain a spiritual awakening, find things in your environment that need to be fixed, you dedicate your time to confronting evil and corruption and making things better for all mankind. This is a trap that must be avoided.

Confronting evil and corruption may seem like a good thing to do, but it requires that you expose yourself to disturbing incidents and evil intentions that you were not previously exposed to. Confronting evil of any intensity is a huge challenge because it will bring up past incidents you have not yet handled. As a result, your emotional tone level will drop from enthusiasm to effort and anger and eventually end up at resignation when you realize that the supplies of evil are inexhaustible. If you have ever noticed the tone levels of long-time crusaders against corrupt organizations, you will see that they are rarely above being bitter and argumentative.

This low emotional tone occurs because they are continually dealing with extremely disturbing matters and these stir up memories, not only from this life but past lives also. These disturbing matters stir up all of the spiritual companions that surround us also. Those of you who are aware of your spirit guides may recognize that they get very disturbed when you spend your time delving into the insanity of evil activities. If you want an example of how this occurs, just think of a police person who has to confront society’s insanity and cruelty on a daily basis. The kindest person in the world will become jaded and callous after enough exposure.

With your spiritual awakening, you may feel you have the strength of Samson, who found a jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. He did not have a happy life, however, and you will not either if you cause others to rise up against you in anger.

If you use your spiritual awareness to find others who are aligned with your goals and work with them peacefully to improve life for all, you are more likely to maintain your glow from your spiritual awakening. If you put your attention on finding the good in people and using that goodness, however scant it might be, to make desirable changes in the world around you will find that your spiritual awakening does not fail and your personal survival will be enhanced.

Your spiritual awakening helps you find the good in people and working with that goodness will achieve more than searching for evil and trying to destroy it. Evil is a kind of insanity as it produces nothing of value. Associating with people of evil intent produces a contagion of aberration that will kill any benefits from your spiritual awakening.

Spiritual Awakenings are miraculous events. Don’t kill them by wasting your awareness on dealing with evil. Try to find actions that improve life for all and spend your time and energy supporting them. This will help keep you sane and productive for a very long time.

Some Suggestions For Handling Chronic Body Pains

Pain is the body’s way of telling you something is wrong. It is a wake-up call to warn you of a threatening condition that will affect your survival. It can be caused by a present time activity such as biting on something and breaking one of your teeth, or falling and damaging a body part, or putting your hand on a hot object. When any one of these happens, you are prompted by the pain to change what you are doing.

There is another source of pain that is more subtle but can be just as crippling, and that is the memory of past injuries. These can be your memories from this life or past lives, or they can be the memories of those spirits who surround you and consider themselves as part of you. If their painful memories are vivid enough, you can experience lingering pains even where you have not experienced any significant injury.

Low Back Pain – Phantom Injury

We are so used to living with chronic pain that we do not question why we are experiencing it. We generally take some pain-killing medicine to lessen the effect so we can continue with our lives. If you are willing to become cause over this chronic pain, here are some exercises I would like to suggest.

First, put yourself in a position that minimizes the pain. Then clear your mind as much as possible by focusing your attention on some nearby thing until your attention stops jumping around.

Put your attention on something else and hold it there until your attention stops jumping around. Now put your attention back onto the point you selected before and decide that you are going to ease your pain. Wait until all of the objections to doing this have disappeared. Decide you are going to see if something can be done about your chronic pain and when you are ready, go on to the next step.

Gently put your attention on the place that hurts and keep it there until you discover thoughts or intentions emanating from that area. Withdraw from the area and consider what you have discovered. What were the intentions or thoughts? Write them down if you have difficulty putting them into words.

Put your attention on the place that hurts again and see what else is being intended. When you have learned something new, withdraw and consider what you have learned this time. Write it down if you have difficulty putting what you discovered into words.

Continue putting your attention on the place that hurt and withdrawing to examine what you discovered until you experience a release of pain or a significant change in the state of the area you are inspecting. If you have been putting your attention on the area and observing what has occurred, you have probably seen some images of past injuries which had something to do with that body part but took place in a previous existence. If you are able to fully acknowledge the existence of these incidents, and any responsibilities you may have had in bringing these about, you will find that the pains will diminish and eventually vanish.

If you maintain your peace of mind while doing this, you will eventually realize that you have participated in events that injured you in the past and you have spiritual companions who have injured themselves in the past and still have intense memories of the moments they injured themselves. All of these painful moments were caused by inattention or by mistakes and were held in suspension by the confusions that occurred at the time.

These past injuries get stirred up when you do something similar in present time and you experience them again until you discover the original injury and how it was caused to happen. Fortunately, there are many different ways to release these suspended incidents, so if you cannot release these chronic pains by yourself, you can get different practitioners to help you release them.

Massage therapists and acupuncturists are able to sense areas of suspended pain and can help you let go of them through therapy. Spiritual healers can also help you release chronic pains by addressing the spirits who are holding them in place. You can train yourself to use Spiritual Rescue Technology by reading my books and attain mastery of the ability to communicate with spirits that are influencing you.
