He who would be JFK – read Unfit for Command

One measure of an individual is how he treats others. Another measure is how well he tells the truth. Getting a glimpse of the motivations behind a man’s actions is another story entirely.

I have been reading the accounts of John Kerry’s exploits in Vietnam, both his versions and the versions of sixty other veterans who witnessed his performance under fire.

This book is not what I expected. It is not an angry polemic, but a sober, almost colorless account of a man so driven by his career aspirations that he created a fictionalized world in which he starred as a heroic leader.

You need to read Unfit for Command and draw your own conclusions.
