The writer/publisher – part 10

Dq_cover_finalrgb_1I have finally come up with a cover for the paperback version of the book. This is what it looks like in the flat. Click on the image to see a larger image.

It has been a long week, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Both the text file and the cover file are now ready for the printer.

On Monday I will close the deal with one of the three printers. I haven’t decided which one yet, but the book needs to be printed with no more delays.

A special thanks to Bill Schaffer and Rosa Say for the quotes they provided for the back cover. I really appreciate their support and the support of all who provided quotations that were used in the book.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions. I learned a lot in the process of preparing a book and a cover for publication. Most of it has been covered in this series of posts, but I will be happy to respond to emails from those of you who have questions regarding publishing your own books.

Good luck with the print selection, I like your book cover. Please let me know as soon as you have it printed to put my order.

    My best regards and thanks

    David –

I wish you all the best with your book. I first read it/discovered your blog through Change This. I’m sure as the book continues to get more exposure it will only allow your words to be read by more and more people which is a very good thing to those of us on the front end of a corporate career.

    Here’s to selling some book…

  3. I LOVE it, David. Can’t wait to announce it, interview you, and turn your hard work into a best seller. You deserve it! Wish Lip-sticking was on your blogroll. πŸ™

  4. Lip-sticking and Aha! are now added to my list of new links. I may be prolific in some areas, but my housekeeping leaves something to be desired, even on my blog. I thought I had already added these links some time ago.

If I have missed any other visitor who has left comments, please feel free to remind me, as I am happy to link to those who add value to this site.

I make no bones about it. The value of this site increases as it accumulates comments. If you have contributed to these discussions, I feel obligated to return the flow and provide a link to your site.

Furthermore, I use these links constantly as a springboard to see how my friends are doing. Do not be put off by where your link appears on my site. Most of my recent browsing has been done using the New Links entries.

Someday…when I have time to tidy up, I will sort the links into a more rational set of categories. Meanwhile, enjoy yourselves by checking the sites which are listed on both sidebars. They were each added for a very good reason.

    What a great cover! It’s perfect πŸ™‚

So what are your PR plans for this bible of wisdom? Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.

  6. The cover looks great! The content inside the cover is even better!
